Early records show that in 1943, "Mr. Moody" established a local cartage company at the corner of 7th and Wall Streets in downtown Chico. In 1945, Paul and Helen Brady purchased the business and renamed it "Brady's Transfer & Storage." Over the ensuing years, the business was then owned by Joy Miller until 1962, when George & Myrtle Sinner purchased the business. In 1974, having outgrown its warehouse in downtown Chico, the business relocated to its present location in the Chico Airport Industrial Park. In the same year, the company was incorporated under the laws of the State of California and was renamed "Brady's Moving & Storage, Inc." A new state-of-the-art warehouse was constructed, and remains the only fully sprinklered, containerized warehouse in the area. Jeff and Patty Day purchased the corporation in 1982 and continue to run the business today.
The goal of Brady's Moving & Storage is to become the leading provider of quality transportation, relocation and storage services to corporate clients and the general public. We consider added value to the customer as our primary advantage and reject economies by diminished service or integrity. In plain words, quality service is the key to our success. It is an ongoing pursuit of Brady's Moving & Storage to provide total satisfaction to all of our customers.
Webster's Dictionary defines the word "quality" as a degree of excellence, superiority in kind. "Customer" is one who purchases a commodity or service. "Service" is the occupation or function of serving. In other words, quality customer service would be providing our customers the highest level of service possible. This type of service should be extended to the customer throughout all aspects of the move—before, during and after! It must be noted, the move is not complete until all services required and requested are accomplished. The qualities and performance of these activities will determine the future of our company.
